The MAVFC Reception Hall can hold up to 266 guests.

There is 4,000 square feet to use for your event.

Are there speakers or a sound system built in?

Yes, and audio connections to the sound systems for laptops and 80” smart TV.

Wireless mic and wired mic connections are also available to use.

What is included in the rental fee?

​

Use of the buildings tables, chairs, ice machine, refrigerator, freezer, trash cans, stage,

80” Smart TV with internet & cable access, HDMI connection for laptops, a wireless and wired mic.

Can we bring our own food?

​

Yes, you can bring your own food or use the caterer of your choice.

​

How much is the security deposit?

​

A fee of $500 is needed to reserve an event.

​

What form of payments do you take?

​

You can pay in the form of cash or check.

​

Is there a cancellation fee?

​

You will only lose your security deposit if you cancel within 30 days of the event.

Can I tour the site before booking an event?

Yes, you can schedule a tour of the reception hall by calling 240-586-9409.

When do I get my security deposit back?

You can expect your security deposit back within 30 days after your event.

Are we allowed to serve alcohol?

Yes, alcohol can be served to guests 21+.

Are we allowed to burn candles?

​

No, but flameless LED candles make an excellent substitute.

​

Can we hang decorations on the walls or from the ceiling?

 

No, you cannot put holes or tape on the walls or ceiling.

Bubble, Fog/smoke machines

Any decorations that damage the walls including pins, nails, tacks, scotch tape, duct tape etc.

Attaching any decorations to the barn doors

How late can my party go?

​

You and your guests can enjoy each other's company until 1 AM.

Yes, from 2 locations.

Is there Internet or Wi-Fi on-site?

Yes, wireless as well as LAN connections.

Is there a bar?

There is a service window in the prep area that can be used as a bar or food service window

Is there a stage?

A portable stage is available, if requested.

What type of lighting is used?

Down lights, wall wash, ceiling accent, and LED panels are available.

All lighting is dimmable (except required exit area lighting) and the wall wash and ceiling accent lighting is color changeable.

Is there an area for formal pictures?

Yes, the courtyard and under the portico are ideal for group pictures.
